It appears the amendment prohibitting gay marriage has been dealt a swift death by the Senate. Thank goodness.

They go on and on about "extremist judges". I can't get over how they can call a judge "extremist" for doing his/her job. Gays, lesbians and even yes us bisexuals pay our taxes, put our kids through school, buy houses, start businesses, and in every way participate in the American way of life. Why should we be denied the rights and privileges of every other American citizen?

Anyway, suffice to say I'm glad it was scuttled and yet I am still saddened this entire fracas is happening in the first place. What business is it of some politician in Washington who I choose to love and live my life with?
