Just posted the third post to "Fall of Avalon". As of this moment, I have 14,000 words done on it. To be honest I don't think 50k words is going to be enough, but that's about par for the course for me. But it's good to be working on something long again. Hell, it's good to be working again. It's good to be drawn along by a story and not having to push.
Anyway. If this thing turns out worth keeping I'll do it through CafePress. Personally I think it's pretty good so far, but bear in mind I'm writing it. I'm not exactly objective.
Maybe I should send a copy to Loreena McKinnett. God knows she deserves co-author credit, considering it was her music that inspired it. Listen to "Lady of Shallott" and "The Two Trees" on continuous loop enough and you'll start to see all kinds of things.
I must make some kind of decision regarding next quarter at school since we have pre-registration coming up within this next week or two. Mr. Walker will be teaching Statistics so I could do that. This last week they scheduled me to work 10 AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays, just like I always worried they would. So I've had to take advantage of low friends in high places to get a schedule change back to my usual 2nd shift hours. The request is in. Whether it will be honored is a different matter. Tomorrow I have to call in before I head for school to tell them I can't come in because I have school, in case the scheduling person hasn't got around to doing the change yet. Joy.
Have you ever noticed that "joy" is just "oy" with a J in front of it? Maybe it's a Yiddish mental condition.
Well. On top of that, I have a test tomorrow at school, so I need to pack things in here and head toward bed. J-oy!
