Re-did the AAP infosite with a new template, and it looks much better now. More professional. Nice soothing blues. I'd been thinking I needed to re-do it since I re-did the shopsite. So now it's done.

I have the first two copies with the new improved barcode should be in sometime in the next couple of days, so I need to do the distibutor application today I suppose.

Also contemplating getting OpenOffice for the laptop. It's supposed to be as good or better than MS Office and does everything it does, uses all the same file formats, etc. I most worry about Word and Publisher, of course, as these are mandatory for my writing and publishing work. I also like that the OO equivalent of Word, Writer, has a built-in PDF converter. I can get the whole thing on an install CD for $35 from a shop on Amazon. Damn sight better than $350+ for Office Professional. And that includes full support services. OO is the open source answer to Office so it's bound to not have all the spaghetti code and run better. I think it would be $35 well spent.

Must also hook up the laptop to the printer and print out my tax forms. If this is correct I should be getting around $1500 back this year. That's books to take to LibertyCon. Or my laptop paid off. Or a trip to Washington to go to the Air and Space. Or lots of promotion for AAP.

Had the scope out last night for a while. Looked at the Moon a lot. Full moon. Used my filters for the first time. Very peaceful, and it got very cold.

Now contemplating lunch and getting out of the house.

I finally decided The Scout Who Walks In Concrete Moccassins is bad for me, so erased both his phone numbers from my cellphone. So that's yet another long time friend I've cut away. Three in the last couple years. Feeling very desolate now so I'm going to go do something about food and then maybe cheer myself up by ordering that OpenOffice CD. Spend money. I know compulsive spending isn't good for me and is just as empty a source of comfort as food, but hey, I won't have to worry about the MS Police (tm).
