Well. On with the show.

May 1st was the official start date of editing of Aquaria. I didn't actually edit anything on the 1st, but yesterday I did the first two chapters. I suspect I may actually overwrite things quite a bit. A lot of the stuff I'm cutting out is redundant wordage. Also fixing minor inconsistencies along the way, always a good thing. I am also planning on cutting out the entire subplot having to do with the Furiae although I may find a way to keep the one and only sex scene in it and just write the next scene as Xyl schlumpfing back to her sleep tube the next day feeling like five layers of hammered poodoo. Also planning to cut out a lot regarding the cadre from Xyl's perspective. This is what you do in editing. It's better to do it now myself than regret it being in print when it can't be changed. Also helps to wait over a year and a half to edit it since now I'm not so emotionally attached to my own verbosity. Or something.

Two down, twenty-three to go. Oy.
