It's a conspiracy, I tell you, a CONSPIRACY!

I got out of work last night and the sky was clear as a bell. Moon's up at 1/2 and methinks, "A-HA! I will get out my telescope tonight and look at Jupiter AND NOTHING WILL INTERFERE! BWA-HAHAHAHA!" Or something to that effect. I went and ate my Nice Dinner for the week at Logan's and thence rushed home to get the scope set up in the back yard.

I was in the process of attempting to get the scope aligned when the scope went utterly dead. The adapter that attaches from the scope to the power cord literally popped off all by itself, the battery went dead, and even despite disconnecting everything and reconnecting it all it stayed dead. No amount of switch-flipping, re-plugging or begging made it return to life.

No Jupiter. No Moon. Possibly dead scope.

*sigh*

I have sent screams of terror and consternation to the NWGAA mailing list. The fuse what goes in the battery does not appear to be blown. Nothing appears to be wrong. I am about to go try to hook up everything here inside and see what happens.

If I've got to replace this thing I'm getting a 125. Seriously. If you've got to replace something you might as well upgrade.

Grrrr....

Just because the fuse doesn't look blown, you might want to change it anyway.
