Well, I am now officially on vacation until the 14th. I have no plans to go anywhere outside of Chattanooga except Huntsville. They are currently showing "Roving Mars" at the IMAX dome there... "ooh, shiny!"

I'm hoping to get some writing started and I am trying to decide which of two ideas to go with. One is not science-fiction but is rather a form of self-therapy which I probably need to get out of my system. The other is science-fiction and has the potential to be a multi-book story, and has ships and aliens and the whole nine yards. Either of which will be a start on SOMETHING.

I'm not getting anything done at this juncture so doing ANYTHING is a step up.

It's just damned hard to find any motivation without anybody giving me any feedback at all. People go on and on about how when I'm famous they can say they knew me way back when. Whoopdidoo. I'd much rather they actually read the books rather than sticking them on a shelf somewhere until they go sell them at McKays. I'd rather someone read my books and told me why they sucked.

Fanfic totally spoils you.

Anyway, I'm hoping to lock myself in a small room with a laptop without an Internet connection for at least a couple days this week.
