Preparing to do a couple hours' work on the black hole story, which still doesn't have a proper title. In between having my arm clawed for more cat treats, I'm sure. "Get a baby gate" I hear the masses cry. It won't work. They can both jump over such things. Even my 18 pound black furry spud-muffin Fuzz can pull some amazing feats of agility.
Went and did school stuff today and it looks like I'll be taking algebra. Apparently "developmental algebra" doesn't count as algebra. So I stopped by Office Despot and got an algebra tutoring program.
I've been pondering the possibilities of a species that values the acquisition of knowledge over survival, and also an idea I had for a story some time ago involving the Artificial Intelligences in the world I created for the Captain Cat stories. (Which I never got past Chapter 6 on.)
Anyway, must get to work. Sooner I get this done the sooner I can send it out.
Pondering sending it to the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction first, as on their submissions page they say they need more sci-fi than fantasy. They pay the same as Analog.
