Heard from my publisher today. Machina Obscura sold nine copies this time, 5.59 British pounds in royalties.
Action being the bane of discouragement, I shall get about sending "Shepherds" and "Public Assistance" off again. Also pondering beginning a new story, inspired by that audio book by Timothy Ferris I got at McKays.
This is the business. If everyone snatched up everything I wrote as soon as I sent it out I'd start to wonder what the heck is going on. By the time these sell I'll have earned it.
And I can't just sit here and do my homework and twiddle my thumbs for the next year, I have to keep moving forward.
