Well, I'm into the week off now. I spent today cleaning up the kitchen and bathroom and went to the hardware store and spent almost $100 to get two sets of shelves. Plastic ones at that, but they're supposed to be sturdy. I'm going to move stuff around to put them in what in a normal world would be my dining room. Then I can gather up all the stray books in the house. I now have somewhere to put them.
In other news, I spent more than an hour and a half with a guy from India on the phone trying to fix my DSL this morning, with the result that I've got some guy coming from Bellsouth on Tuesday to fix it. As you can see, at the moment it's working. But I'm not counting on it. It's the same damned problem as last time. Apparently now Bellsouth has outsourced it's DSL support to India. Joy.
I rented a Muppet video that's the Muppets doing "classic fairy tales". Oy. The Three Little Pigs got turned into a paen of girl power. The Elves and the Shoemaker had Rizzo the Rat thinking Elvis and the Shoemaker, with the result that the elves became Elvises and the shoes all turned into blue suede. And Gonzo looks good as a sort of fairy-ish Rumplestiltskin. The Boy Who Cried Wolf got saved by his sheep's cousin Norman, who came and flattened the wolf. Anyway, also rented Contact for dramatic renewal of purpose.
Tomorrow I have school, and afterward to finish my Psych homework and do the test. Not looking forward to that. Oh well.
Otherwise, I guess I'll be putting shelves together and gathering up all the books and arranging them, moving furniture and vacuuming. And probably doing laundry.
Also at some point I will probably go donate my hair to Locks of Love. I spent all this time growing it, I might as well give it to something useful instead of just being thrown away.
Political question of the day:
If the Bush family is so much in good with the royal family of Saudi Arabia, why do we have $2 a gallon for gas?
