So I guess it's going to be another Thanksgiving alone. I have to be at work at 1 PM.
Tomorrow's menu --
Stir-fried beef with mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, onions and peanuts, over white rice.
Pecan pie.
Diet Coke, or maybe possibly some hot tea if I'm feeling so inclined.
Things I am grateful for this Thanksgiving:
Though beginning to show their ages, my cats Boo and Fuzz are healthy. So I am grateful for every clawed paw picking at my arm, for every head-butt to my elbow, and for every moment of purring, kneading ecstasy they derive from my hair when I'm trying to sleep.
I am grateful to my mother for her financial assistance in getting my bathroom floor and toilet fixed, so that I no longer worry about falling through.
I am grateful my truck is paid off.
I am grateful I have a mind to think with, a talent to create with, and hands and eyes with which to do so.
I am grateful to have a job with which I can make a living.
I am grateful that I qualified for the Hope scholarship.
I am grateful to be old enough to know better, and young enough I wish I still had the chance to be otherwise.
I am grateful to be healthy.
I am grateful for the great vast universe that inspires me.
I am grateful for the future, which gives me hope.
'Nuff Said.
Happy Thanksgiving.
