Tidings odd and ill.
1. Hell has frozen over and so I went to get my hair cut off. As per Murphy's Law, it has rained for the last two days so it's been one big frizz of curls. But I donated my hair to Locks of Love so it's all good. I suggest you do the same should you also have long hair with which you have run out of patience. As for myself, one comment I got last night at work was, "I expect you to break out into singing 'The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow'." Sheesh.
2. Alas, we have four more years of the lying scumbag. But it was a good fight and rather than drag the country through legal hell Senator Kerry chose to concede gracefully, thus proving that unlike his lying cheating opponent he is a gentleman and gracious in defeat. Our credibility with Europe and the rest of the world will now be totally shot since they could probably forgive one mistake but now that he's been re-elected we have proved to the rest of the world that we really are a bunch of barbaric lunatics. Thank you, my Republican friends, for ensuring that the rising economic and political juggernaut that is the European Union will now feel completely justified in withholding all support for this misbegotten debacle our so-called "war on terrorism" has become. We've lost all respect in the world because we chose this joker twice. Thanks.
3. I just completed the form to register myself with the Green Party of the United States, since I will no longer support in any way, shape or form the two mob organizations that run this country, see #2 above. Mr. Nader is quite right. From now on, I vote what I believe in.
4. For those who read #2 and 3 above and say, "If you don't like it, move elsewhere" I am looking into it. If you would like to help finance such a thing and do your part to vote an ungrateful wretch out of your paradise, I can accept payments through PayPal. Scotland would be nice.
5. I await word from Interzone as to my story "Public Assistance". It's been out 8 days so it might be in England by now. We shall see.
6. Still pondering where to send "Shepherds" next. Asimov's? Far Sector? Hmmmm...
7. I've begun doing the Word section of my typing class at school. Oy.
Galumphing gophers in grapeskin galoshes.
