A suggestion -- if you haven't contributed to the tsunami relief effort, Sir Arthur C. Clarke suggests Oxfam. They are apparently doing a lot of work in Sri Lanka, and their website states that 90% of donations goes out again in relief efforts.
Sir Arthur himself and his family are fine. They live inland, so they didn't get hit by the tsunami. But a whole bunch of other people in Sri Lanka did. I've already donated $35.
Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
I start school again Wednesday. Time flies when you're reading fan-fic and playing Orbz.
I am really and truly fed up with this damned C64 printer. Night before last I was refilling ink cartridges at 3 AM. I put one back in the printer and suddenly the damned thing says the ink cartridge is incompatible. I am NOT going to go spend $24 for a cartridge that cost 30 cents to produce for only about 150 pages of text. So I went to Office Despot yesterday and barely held myself back from buying a Samsung laser printer. I may yet do so. Kinko's charges 50 cents per page to print stuff on their computers. Yeah, you have to spend $70 for toner cartridges but you get thousands of pages. That to me is a proper expense rate. So to say I am a bit steamed is quite an understatement.
Now I'm all angry again. Phooey.
