Wanted to put in here what's going on with MO and AAP.
I need to get on the Ingrams database and to that end they sent me an e-mail with a list of subsidiary distributors that deal with small press publishers. I've found one I think will work for me. It costs $100 which is a far better cry than what I was expecting. Problem is that they require the price of the book to be either integrated in the ISBN barcode (which I should have done, drat it) or otherwise done on a sticker on the book. Which I could do, but since it's done through CafePress I wonder if I'll have to have the books sent to me first for stickering before I send them off to the distributor. Which would be a pain, but there we have it. I sent an e-mail to the prospective distibutor asking about this, so hopefully I'll get an answer back in a couple of days. Otherwise, it's looking good. I can't get Charlene to do the review in the paper until they have the book stocked in the store, so ...
Other than that, things are still going. I've got a 10 book order on the way for the fans here at home. There's a part of me that wants to go ahead and send a copy to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, but I should hold off until they're in the stores.
I need to get a photo done if I want to sign up as a guest at DragonCon, but there's little point in it if I can't afford a table. LibertyCon begins to look like a better bet.
There's also convention books to think of. To that end, I'm now off to case LibertyCon's site.
