New glasses. For the first time in my life I actually have two pairs of glasses at the same time. Prescription sunglasses are a Very Good Thing.

And the new normal-glasses are giving me the fish-eye lens thing.

And my ears hurt.

And I look rather odd with these little round granny-glasses and not my pseudo-Elton John tortoise shell horn-rims.

We are on 6 day schedule at work now. There is so much rantage I could unleash here but I see little point in wasting the effort. However, the perpetual unsolved mystery of why they are doing all this overtime when we are supposed to be watching our costs is a bit beyond me. It seems to me that instead of trying to ensure we are one of the RECs that survive they are doing all they can to make it fail. And thereby dump all of us out on the street in a couple or three years. I'm 37 years old. I do not have a college degree of any sort. What kind of job am I going to be able to get with that? Basically, waiting tables. Which I refuse to do. Are they going to provide lay-off assistance when this happens? As in, the government funded programs that help people go back to school when they've been downsized?

After all they've done to screw us over, I can't bring myself to believe they'd lift a finger to help any of us.

So. As usual, it's up to me.

Oh well. If I'm lucky the blood pressure will kill me first and I won't have to deal with any of it.
